Tour & Ticket Booking Platforms

The same tour, four sites, four prices.

Compare tour marketplaces, attraction tickets, multi-day operators, city passes, primary sellers and resale platforms by coverage, booking terms and best use. Check the final price, cancellation rule and voucher before paying.

Before you book

01
Know who fulfils the booking. On marketplace listings, the operator running the tour is usually a separate company. Save both the seller's support details and the operator's day-of phone number from the confirmation.
02
Ratings belong to the product, not the site.A 4.9 on one listing says nothing about the 4.1 tour next to it. Read the number of reviews as well as the score: 4.6 from 3,000 people is a safer bet than 5.0 from nine.
03
Cancellation is set per listing. Two bookings on the same platform can have different terms. Check the cutoff, local time zone, refund method, and whether a venue ticket is excluded before paying.
04
Check the venue's own website. It may have lower fees or time slots a marketplace does not show. Compare language, ticket delivery and cancellation as well as price; the direct option is not automatically more flexible.

These services cover many destinations, but they do not all sell the same kind of product: some are broad marketplaces, while others focus on private guides, specialist walks, or hosted meals. Compare the final price, cancellation terms, meeting point, and voucher instructions for the exact listing.
V
Tours · Worldwide
A Tripadvisor company with a large global inventory of day trips, attraction tickets, private guides, cooking classes and transfers. Breadth is the point, but individual products are supplied by different operators, so compare the review count, cancellation terms, meeting point and ticket instructions on the exact listing.
Tours · Europe
A global marketplace for tours, attraction tickets and activities, with especially broad coverage in European destinations. Cancellation and mobile-ticket terms vary by product, so use the listing's own policy rather than assuming the same rule applies across the site.
Tours · Reviews
Sells Viator's inventory inside TripAdvisor's review database, which is the reason to use it: you can read years of traveller reviews of the attraction itself, not just of the tour product, in the same place you book. Useful for deciding whether a sight is worth a half day before you decide who to book it with.
Host-led activities
Hosted activities such as food, art, culture and outdoor experiences, bookable alongside Airbnb's newer services. The appeal is a more personal format than a conventional coach tour; availability and cancellation terms vary by experience, so check the policy shown before booking.
Attractions · Last-minute
A mobile-first marketplace for attraction tickets, tours and same-day activities in selected cities, including major European destinations, New York, Las Vegas and Dubai. Check the start time, entry method and cancellation window when booking close to the visit.
Tours · Bundled
Tours, attraction tickets and ground transport inside the same account used for Expedia travel bookings. Eligible completed activities earn OneKeyCash for signed-in members and appear with the rest of the itinerary; event tickets sold through Expedia's separate event-ticket site are excluded from rewards.
Attractions · Tickets
Attraction tickets, tours and activities sold through Booking.com's travel account. It is convenient when accommodation is already managed there, but inventory and cancellation rules still belong to each listed product, so compare the final terms with a specialist marketplace or the venue.
Private guides · Worldwide
Private tours with a named local guide and an itinerary that can be discussed before the day. The format costs more than a shared group tour but is useful for limited mobility, family pacing, or a specific interest that scheduled tours do not cover.
Local hosts · Europe · Asia
Private walks, food tours and tailored activities with a local host, often priced per group rather than per person. Coverage is concentrated in selected European and Asian cities; confirm the group price, duration, meeting point and accessibility with the host's listing.
Scholar-led · Small group
Expert-led private and small-group walks built around subjects such as art, architecture, archaeology and food. The tours are deliberately focused rather than broad coach itineraries, so check whether the listed format is private or shared and how much ground it covers.
Free walking tours · Worldwide
A directory of tip-based walking tours in many cities and languages. There is no fixed tour price; travellers tip the guide after the walk. Read the listing for language, accessibility, meeting point and local payment guidance, and cancel if you cannot attend so the guide is not holding a place.
Unusual · Curated
A small, heavily curated set of trips and local experiences built around the obscure and the specific — a working archive, a disappearing craft, an abandoned structure. Coverage is nowhere near complete, so treat it as a source of ideas for a destination rather than a booking engine.
Dining with locals
Hosted meals, food tours and cooking classes with local hosts. Availability is destination-specific, and the format ranges from a private home meal to a group market walk, so check the venue, group size, dietary options and cancellation terms on the listing.
Regional platforms can carry local transport, connectivity, attraction and activity products that do not appear on every global marketplace. Their value depends on the destination, language, currency, redemption method and operator, so compare the exact listing rather than assuming the regional site is always cheaper or more complete.
K
Asia-Pacific
A broad Asia-Pacific booking platform that goes beyond tours into rail and metro passes, airport transfers, connectivity products, theme parks and dining offers. It is particularly useful in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand; compare redemption instructions because some products require a voucher exchange rather than direct gate entry.
Asia-Pacific
A Taiwan-based Asia-Pacific platform with particular depth in Taiwan, Japan and Korea, including day trips, rail passes and local activities. Compare identical products with Klook and the operator because price, language, cancellation and voucher-exchange rules can differ.
China · Asia
The international service from the Trip.com Group, covering attractions, tours, rail and ground transport in China and beyond. It can be useful when a mainland attraction requires a passport-linked reservation, but eligibility and document fields vary by product, so read the booking requirements before paying.
Museums · Europe
An Amsterdam-based platform specialising in museums, monuments and attraction tickets, with mobile delivery on many products. It is useful when you know which venue you want, but same-day availability, time-slot rules and direct gate entry vary by listing.
Attractions · Europe
A TUI-group platform covering attractions, guided tours and day trips in many destinations, with a substantial European catalogue. Compare the named operator, language, meeting point and cancellation terms with the venue or another marketplace.
Spain · Latin America
A Madrid-based tours and activities platform with broad coverage in Spain and Latin America. Language is stated per activity, and its free-tour listings use the familiar tip-based model rather than a fixed tour price. Check the exact language, meeting point and cancellation terms before booking.
Australia · New Zealand
An Australia and New Zealand specialist for reef trips, wildlife parks, adventure activities, attraction tickets and regional day tours. It is a useful local comparison beyond the largest cities; verify the currency, operator and pickup details on the listing.
Southeast Asia
A Southeast Asian travel platform covering attraction tickets, activities and domestic transport across markets including Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines. It is worth comparing with global sites for local inventory, currency, redemption method and the final price.
An India-focused marketplace for treks, multi-day trips, adventure activities and regional tours, plus outbound trips to other destinations. It covers products that may not appear on global marketplaces; check the named operator, inclusions, group size and cancellation policy on the exact trip.
UAE · Middle East
A Gulf-focused platform for attractions, desert experiences, concerts, nightlife and sport, with listings across the UAE and other Middle Eastern markets. For an event, confirm whether the listing is the primary allocation and compare it with the organiser or venue's official link.
South Korea
A Korea-focused service for tours, attraction tickets, food, K-pop activities, salons, beauty and medical reservations, connectivity and transport. English-language listings and reservation support make it useful for products that are otherwise difficult for an overseas visitor to arrange directly.
These sell trips lasting days or weeks, combining some mix of transport, accommodation, guiding, activities and meals. Some operate their own departures while marketplaces compare multiple operators. Read the day-by-day itinerary, group size, physical rating, accommodation standard, included meals and single-supplement charge before comparing headline prices.
T
Marketplace · Multi-day
A marketplace rather than an operator, comparing thousands of multi-day tours from hundreds of companies side by side with filters for group size, age range and pace. The right starting point when you know the region and the length but not yet which company suits you.
Operator · Small group
Small-group trips, typically eight to sixteen people, with local guides and a deliberate bias towards locally owned accommodation and transport. Runs graded styles from basic to comfort, so the same route exists at very different price points — check which style a quoted price refers to.
Operator · Small group
A small-group adventure operator with local leaders and trip styles ranging from basic to premium. Transport, accommodation and group size vary by itinerary, so compare the trip's physical rating, inclusions and day-by-day plan rather than the brand alone.
Operator · Guided coach
Guided coach touring with scheduled transport, hotels, luggage handling and included sightseeing. Group size, optional experiences and hotel standard vary by itinerary, so use the trip page rather than the brand label to understand how much of each day is fixed.
Operator · Ages 18–35
Group touring restricted by age to 18–35, with a social itinerary and shared rooms as standard. The age cap is enforced, and the pace and evenings are the product as much as the sightseeing — worth knowing before booking on route alone.
Operator · Europe
Europe itineraries designed around guided sightseeing, walking and local transport, with group details and activity expectations stated on each tour. Read the day-by-day plan, physical demands, hotel notes and what's included rather than assuming every departure follows one format.
Operator · Active · Walking
An adventure operator focused on walking, cycling, wildlife and cultural trips. It publishes an activity level for each itinerary; compare that grade with the daily distance, elevation, terrain and climate rather than choosing from the photographs alone.
Operator · Active · Premium
Premium active travel — cycling, walking and multi-sport — with support vehicles, high-end bikes provided and hotels at the top of the local range. Expensive, and priced against the logistics: route options each day, luggage moved ahead, and no equipment to carry through an airport.
A pass pays off only when the included sights you will actually visit cost more separately. Check reservation requirements, opening days, activation rules and realistic travel time, then add up your own itinerary rather than relying on the advertised maximum saving.
G
Multi-attraction pass
Runs branded passes in many major destinations, including London, New York and Paris. All-Inclusive passes cover entries over consecutive days; Explorer passes cover a chosen number of attractions over a longer window. Availability and reservation rules vary by city, so price the exact attractions and time slots first.
Official city cards
Tourist board · Per city
Many European destinations offer an official tourist-board or museum card — including the Paris Museum Pass, Roma Pass, I amsterdam City Card, Vienna City Card and Lisboa Card. Inclusions vary: some cover admission, some mainly discounts, and some include public transport. Buy from the official source and compare the exact list. See the full city card comparison for prices and a break-even calculation on ten of them.
Pass · United States · Canada
A fixed bundle of selected headline attractions in participating United States and Canadian destinations. The narrow list makes the saving easier to calculate than an unlimited pass, but reservations, validity windows and included choices vary by city.
Pass · United States
Day-based and attraction-count passes in selected United States cities. Included attractions, bus access, reservation rules and pass availability vary by destination; where Go City overlaps, compare the exact lists and time-slot requirements rather than the headline discount.
Pass · Germany · Europe
All-inclusive city passes for German and other European cities — Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Vienna, Prague and more — bundling attractions with public transport on a single card. Useful in cities where the official tourist-board card is limited to discounts rather than free entry.
Theme parks · United States
An authorised reseller of Disney, Universal and other United States theme-park tickets at a modest discount on gate prices — small percentages, but on a family's multi-day tickets the absolute number is meaningful. It also publishes crowd-level forecasts by date, which is the more useful half of the site.
Primary means the ticket is issued by the event, at face value plus fees, and which company holds a given event is decided by the venue's contract — not by you. So the practical approach is the reverse of shopping around: find the event, see which platform the venue uses, and create the account before tickets go on sale. Popular events sell out in minutes and a queue is no place to be typing card details for the first time.
T
Primary · Worldwide
A major primary seller for concerts, theatre and sport, with country-specific sites and event-by-event delivery rules. Mobile entry, transfer and resale availability vary by organiser; check the event details and your order for the available options, and set up the account before a high-demand on-sale.
Primary · US · UK
An AEG-owned ticketing platform used by venues and promoters in the United States, United Kingdom and other markets. For any event, follow the artist or venue's official link to the correct seller and set up the required account before a high-demand on-sale.
Primary + resale · United States
United States-focused, and unusual in mixing primary tickets for the teams it partners with alongside resale listings from other marketplaces in one search. Its Deal Score rates each seat against historical prices for the same section, which is the clearest read available on whether a resale price is reasonable.
Primary · Germany · Europe
A large European ticketing group headquartered in Germany, with country and subsidiary sites across the region. It is an important primary seller in German-speaking markets; follow the event or venue's official ticket link so you land on the correct national storefront.
Primary · Australia · New Zealand
A major primary seller for Australian and New Zealand concerts, sport and venue events. Inventory is determined by each venue and promoter, so use the event's official link rather than assuming Ticketek or Ticketmaster holds the allocation.
Live music · UK · Europe · US
An app-centred ticketing platform for live music, clubs, independent venues and festivals. Some sold-out events enable a waiting list for returned tickets; availability, deadlines and the waiting-list price are event-specific, so follow the controls shown on that event.
Theatre
Theatre specialist covering Broadway, the West End and a growing list of other cities. The reason to use it is the discount mechanics rather than the catalogue: digital lotteries for a handful of seats at a fraction of face value, and rush tickets released each morning for the same day. Enter the lottery daily on a long trip and the odds add up.
Immersive · Events
A Madrid-based discovery and ticketing platform known for Candlelight concerts, immersive exhibitions, pop-ups and seasonal events. It is useful for formats that may not appear on conventional concert sites; verify the venue, age rules, accessibility and refund policy on the listing.
Ticket Pia · Lawson · e+
Primary · Japan
These are major domestic sellers for Japanese concerts, theatre and sport. Some high-demand events use advance lotteries, and registration or payment may require local details or convenience-store steps. Read the event's official purchase route early; English resellers cover only selected inventory.
Primary · South Korea
The successor to Interpark Global, now covering South Korean tickets, tours, attractions and stays under the NOL World name. Overseas availability and payment options depend on the event, so use the English listing and its purchase requirements rather than assuming the domestic allocation is available.
Primary · UK · Europe · US
A large independent primary seller covering United Kingdom festivals, theatre and music, with operations in France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United States. Holds the allocation for a significant share of British festivals, which is exactly the category Ticketmaster does not universally cover.
Primary · United Kingdom
United Kingdom clubs, festivals and independent live events, with strong coverage of the smaller promoters that never reach the national platforms. Its what's-on listings by city and date make it useful for finding an event in the first place, not just buying for one.
Primary · France
A French ticketing network covering concerts, theatre, museums, sport and attractions, with online sales and Fnac retail locations. Use the event or venue's official link to confirm it is the authorised seller; category and checkout content may be French-language.
Primary · Italy
An Eventim-group primary seller for Italian concerts, opera, theatre, sport and culture. Start from the artist, club or venue's official link, and use only an authorised transfer or resale route when the event permits it.
Independent events · Worldwide
A self-service platform used by independent organisers for workshops, food events, runs, markets, talks and community gatherings. Search by city and date, then check the organiser identity, refund policy and venue because Eventbrite hosts the listing but does not run the event.
Electronic · Clubs · Worldwide
A global electronic-music calendar and ticketing platform for club nights, warehouse events and festivals, browsable by city and date. It is a strong discovery source for nightlife; confirm the promoter, venue, door policy and final schedule on the event page.
Resale prices move with demand and may sit above or below face value. Rules vary by country, event, artist, league, and ticket type, so check the organiser's transfer and resale terms before paying. Prefer the venue or primary seller's official exchange, then a locally compliant capped platform when one is available.
S
Resale · Worldwide
A global resale marketplace for concerts, sport and theatre, backed by its FanProtect ticket-or-refund guarantee. StubHub now displays mandatory fees in the default listed price, so compare the all-in total, seat details, delivery method and event transfer restrictions—not an old pre-fee headline price.
Resale · International
StubHub's international sibling and a resale marketplace in many markets. Compare the full displayed total, exact seat or section, delivery method and the organiser's transfer rules before paying; a marketplace guarantee does not make an event's third-party transfer restrictions disappear.
Resale · United States
A United States resale marketplace covering concerts, theatre and the major sports leagues, with a loyalty scheme that returns credit toward future orders. Pricing on the same seat routinely differs from StubHub's, so on an expensive ticket it is worth the second search.
Face-value resale · UK
A United Kingdom fan-to-fan resale platform where sellers may recover no more than the original face value plus permitted original booking fees. Event inventory changes quickly, so use an alert and still check any event-specific transfer or name-change rule before buying.
Capped resale · Europe
An Amsterdam-based resale platform that normally caps a listing at 20% above its defined base price, with lower limits where local law applies. SecureSwap can invalidate the seller's barcode and issue a new ticket when the organiser supports it; that protection is not available for every event.
Resale · United States
A United States resale marketplace that advertises no hidden buyer fees and shows an all-in price. Compare the total, seat location, delivery timing and marketplace guarantee with other authorised options for the same event.
Last-minute resale · US
A United States resale marketplace focused on last-minute sport, concerts and comedy, with all-in pricing. Prices still move with demand, and seat detail and delivery timing vary by listing, so read both before making a late purchase.
Football and major sport — a warning
Read before buying
Football ticket rules differ by club, competition and country, and unauthorised resale can invalidate a ticket. Start with the club or competition's official ticket page, approved exchange, membership sale or official hospitality partner. A marketplace refund cannot replace the travel cost or the missed match.
Half the problem is not buying a ticket but knowing an event exists. These are the tools for pointing at a city and a set of dates and seeing what is actually happening while you are there — often the difference between a good trip and a memorable one, and they cost nothing to check.
B
Concert alerts · Worldwide
Tracks the artists you already listen to, syncs from a streaming account, and alerts you when one plays near a location you set — including a city you are only visiting. Setting your destination and travel dates before a trip is the quickest way to find out that a favourite band is playing while you are there.
Concert listings · Worldwide
The same idea as Bandsintown with a stronger city-calendar view: pick a city, scroll a date range, and see every listed gig regardless of who is playing. Better for browsing a destination cold; Bandsintown is better at following specific artists.
City listings · Editorial
Locally edited what's-on coverage in selected cities, including exhibitions, openings, food events and seasonal happenings. Its city and monthly guides are useful for discovery; follow the event's own site for the final date, venue and ticket seller.
