Rent a car for Day 3. Public KTEL buses connect Rhodes Town to individual sites but not to Filerimos, Valley of the Butterflies, Kameiros, and Kritinia Castle as a connected loop in a single day.
The Valley of the Butterflies is only impressive from late June through August, when Jersey tiger moths cluster in the thousands. Visit outside that window and you'll see an ordinary wooded valley.
Book Thermes Kallithea online before arriving — the restored Art Deco complex is compact and can feel crowded by mid-morning in peak summer. An early 8:00am arrival gives you the architecture in golden light before swimmers arrive.
In the Medieval Town, most shops and restaurants close for lunch from roughly 2:00pm to 6:00pm in summer. Plan the Sokratous Street stroll for the cool of the evening rather than the afternoon.
